Kcom Constructions are 100% locally owned and operated company, who specialise in Commercial, Industrial and Residential Construction.

 

The company was established in 2014 by two local and dedicated directors, Brett McManus and Greg Clarke, who have 30 years of combined experience in construction, estimation and project management.

 

Together Brett and Greg have built a strong and dedicated team who have the right skills to complete any project to a high quality, efficiently and effectively, all whilst ensuring the clients needs are met and satisfied. Kcom Constructions have created employment opportunities for apprenticeships within the construction industry.

MEET THE TEAM

Brett McManus - Director 

 

Brett has over 20 years working in the construction industry. He entered the industry as an apprentice carpenter and worked his way up to senior management roles within nationally based construction companies.

 

What has set Brett apart from other construction professionals in the industry is his attention to detail, methodical planning of projects from conception to final hand over, and his guidance and understanding of trades and Australian Standards.

 

Brett has many relevant qualifications to the construction industry and has successfully delivered all types of complex and diverse projects up to $6 million dollars.

 

As a past senior member of a nationally based company, Brett has been responsible for many project coordinators and site coordinators. He has also built long-standing relationships with best in class sub-contractors and has been involved in many turnkey solutions for clients helping with design, planning and certification of their projects.

 

Many clients have involuntarily recommended Brett to friends and family who have seen him as a valuable member of the team when it comes to construction in the Northern Territory.

 

 

Greg Clarke - Director 

 

Greg has worked in the construction industry for over 18 years, with 7 of those years being in the Northern Territory. Prior to relocating to Darwin, Greg lived on the Gold Coast as an operations manager working on large high-rise projects and commercial works.

 

Before establishing KCom Constructions with Brett, Greg worked in many positions including Project Manager and Senior Estimator with a nationally based company.

 

Due to Greg’s attention to detail and “can do” attitude, he has become first choice by many clients for delivering their projects on time and without compromise to safety.  

 

Greg has successfully delivered all types of complex and a diverse projects up to $3.5 million dollars. As a senior estimator in his previous employment, Greg has been responsible for bidding on works up to $35 million dollars, successfully winning and assisting with these projects.

 

Greg has many relevant qualifications to the construction industry including a Diploma of Project Management and a Certificate IV in Construction.

 

 

Daniel O'Loughlan - Project Manager

 

Daniel has worked in the construction industry for over 13 years. Mostly in commercial construction and more recently he worked in the oil and gas industry for 2 years.

 

With a love for construction and a wealth of hands on experience behind him from years working as a plasterer, kitchen fitter, builder’s labourer and studying a Bachelor degree in Business Construction.

 

Daniel returned to commercial construction and is known for building great working relationships with all workers on his sites, along with clients and consultants and being able to push the job along where required.

 

Daniel has lived in the Northern Territory for over 5 years working as a Site Manager, Project Engineer and Project Manager for two nationally based construction companies. He also worked on the Inpex LNG Gas plant project, gaining 2 years of valuable experience in contracts administration and the ultra-high standards of OHSE management which is adhered to on that site.

 

Daniel has joined KCOM as a Project Manager who values the importance of safely completing projects to the highest of standards with particular focus on positive communications with all stakeholders, the final 5% and most importantly the client’s requirements.

 

Daniel has worked on many projects in Darwin both large and small projects including project managing the $10 million dollar Charles Darwin University School of Business, Waterfront building.
